It’s the magical sign, after all the rain
The perfect curve, chromatic champagne
It brings a smile
For a little while
Nature’s beauty, and colourful vervain

Our burst of laughter, is long and loud
Heads are turning, in the nearby crowd
We wipe away tears
Forgetting our fears
Times are tough, but we won’t be cowed
A walk in the woods, is something I treasure
For body and soul, my go-to pleasure
Pretty birdsong does call
Streams tumble and fall
Feeling better now, peace beyond measure

A walk in the woods, is something I treasure
For body and soul, my go-to pleasure
Pretty birdsong does call
Streams tumble and fall
Feeling better now, peace beyond measure
Seashell, seashell on the seashore
Just the one, I was looking for
The sand I clear
Now I can hear
The tumbling sea, and endless roar

She stands steadfast, a classic trope
Shining snow white, a beacon of hope
Against sea and storm
As gusts ‘round her swarm
Facing whatever, she’ll always cope
St Patrick’s Day, has finally come
Not much happening, no parades or fun
Stay firm with vigour
It is the trigger
To better times, for everyone
A gentle breeze blows, along the beach
When I take the plunge, a noisy breach
The shock is bracing
My heartbeat racing
For more uplifting days, I do beseech
Waiting on a friend, in the park today
Long-time no see, I hope he’s okay
Some time to share
Is without compare
‘Til we meet again, I’ll be on my way

Springtime is here, and a variant or two
Sneaky germ looking for, both me and you
Be on your guard
Do not be scarred
So we can bid this pest, a firm adieu
