April’s here, the days grow and run
Brighter now, under a warming sun
East Pier for a walk
A long friendly talk
Gentle breeze whispers, let’s have fun
April’s here, the days grow and run
Brighter now, under a warming sun
East Pier for a walk
A long friendly talk
Gentle breeze whispers, let’s have fun
It’s Halloween, and the magic is here
Laughter too, with much to cheer
Sparkling rockets will fly
Into the dark sky
Heavenly burst, as bright stars do appear
Heavenly Light
It’s midsummer day, sun shines from on high
Puffy clouds float, in the bright, blue sky
Taking a walk by the sea
With a friend, carefree
A magical moment, for us to enjoy
Spring’s in the air, and it’s time for the broom
While out in the garden, daffodils do bloom
Then time for a stroll
It’s good for the soul
On my favourite beach, in the bubbling plume
From Coliemore Harbour, and east all the way
The rolling sea, was a cold slate grey
We stop on our walk
High above gulls squawk
Before diving steeply, through misty spray
It’s cold today, and my breath blows white
Beside the bay, in the early winter light
Gulls caw and fly
Against a blue sky
Where a shining ball hangs, oh what a sight
Walking on sunshine, the only thing to do
The sky is clear, and it’s great being with you
Let’s have fun in the sun
There’s no need to run
On the warm beach, neath a canvas so blue

They pass on high, without a sound
Day and night, by wind they’re bound
Whether black or white
Such nebulous delight
They make images, that do astound
I went for a walk, on the pier today
A gentle breeze, held me in its sway
Each step took me near
Until it became clear
The beautiful sight, of my Cloudy Bay
