Move On

The end is nigh, for a difficult year

So much pain, and many a tear

Now move on with hope

Of course you’ll cope

Just do your best, and have no fear

Have no fear..

Christmas Dinner

The food is cooked, and we’re ready to go

As the chef’s been busy, going to and fro

The smells are sweet

Oh what a treat

While all around us, are candles aglow.

Happy Christmas!

For Danielle who provided such a wonderful dinner – many thanks.

Festive Fun

It’s Christmas Week, shopping’s finally done

Must slow down now, and have some fun

With friends to see

Walks on the quay

Such simple pleasures, the best bar none

Let’s walk…

Books Galore

If you really like books, then Dave’s your man

From thrillers to sport, there’s much to scan

His deals are great

Don’t dare be late

To get your pressies, what a cunning plan!

Back Together Again

It’s been two years, since we last did meet

Only WhatsApp, texts and odd fun Tweet

Now it’s elbows and knuckles

And side-splitting chuckles

With friends once again, oh how sweet

Friends, Forever

This is for The Lads: Ed, Aidan, Paul, Dennis and Brian

Stormy Weather

Barra’s arrived, and he’s blowing a storm

It’s really bad, well outside the norm

Trees shake and bend

As inside I penned

This little ditty, and tried to stay warm

The wind is rising – Coliemore Harbour, Dublin

I’ll Go On

The end is nigh, for a very bad year

So much pain, and a billion sad tears

Keep head held high

For we must try

To move on bravely, without the fear

Go on – to better times
